Mindy Rast-Keenan has been an actor in the Austin theater scene for over a decade.  Yet she is known as much for her crafting as for her performance ability.  An avid knitter, she is also a renowned cook and baker, regularly providing "nibbles" for her fellow reviewers of OneofUs.net of which she is a film/TV critic.  Her favorite compliments have been to not leave leftovers because the head of the house was on a diet, and how her sister called one of her white potato dessert pies delicious even though it, "[Went] against God."  She decided to bake for this fundraiser because the Central Texas Food Bank is a great and necessary organization, and to show off her historical cake bakes (This one is a Moravian Easter cake, a group who settled in North Carolina in 1753. #nerdbakes).

Mindy's Bake: Monrovian Sugar Cake

I’m Andreá, and I’ve been baking pretty seriously for the past decade. It’s been a creative outlet and stress reliever during quarantine, and I thought it could be put to good use!

Our friends at the Central Texas Food Bank need our help now, more than ever, and every $1 we raise, equates to FOUR meals they’re able to provide to central Texans in need.
